The 2021 Lakota Bighorn 8418GLQUG 4 Horse Trailer arrived in good overall condition. The 18′ short wall living quarters are very spacious and functional, though the interior has some light normal wear. The 4-horse slant load has sturdy construction and a smooth ramp. There are a few small scuffs and light oxidation on the exterior (expected for its age), but mechanically everything is sound. It tows nicely and my horses travel comfortably. Delivery went smoothly. Excellent value for an 18′ short wall Bighorn.

We purchased the 2021 Lakota Bighorn 8418GLQUG 4 Horse Trailer with 18′ Short Wall and it’s absolutely incredible. The 18′ short wall living quarters are massive and feel like a luxury apartment on wheels — full kitchen, large bathroom with shower, generous storage, and a very comfortable sleeping area. The 4-horse slant load is spacious with excellent padding and ventilation. It tows smoothly and stable. For a 2021 model, this trailer is in near-perfect condition. Cargo Container Supply provided excellent photos and made delivery seamless. We couldn’t be happier!

This 2021 Lakota Bighorn 8418GLQUG is a premium trailer. The 18′ short wall gives so much room that it feels like home while traveling. The 4-horse area is well-designed with sturdy dividers and safe for my horses. Everything mechanical (lights, brakes, AC, water system) works flawlessly. The gooseneck pulls straight with no sway. The team at Cargo Container Supply was very responsive with questions and delivery. Highly recommend this beautiful Bighorn!

I’ve been searching for a short wall trailer for almost a year and the 2021 Lakota Bighorn 8418GLQUG finally checked every box. The 18-foot short wall design gives my 16.2hh mare plenty of headroom and the two smaller horses have more than enough room side by side. Loading and unloading is a breeze with the rear door and the rubber mats came in handy right away. I tow it with my F-250 and it tows beautifully, no swaying issues even in crosswinds. Customer support was responsive when I had questions about the wiring harness. Fast delivery too, got it within a week of ordering. Only small gripe is the LED lighting inside could be brighter for night loading, but that’s a minor thing. Overall I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone needing a reliable four-horse trailer.

Okay so I resisted buying a used trailer for months because I was worried about hidden damage and dodgy sellers. Then I found this 2021 Lakota Bighorn listed online and everything about it felt above board. Clean title, well-maintained, and the photos matched the actual unit perfectly. The 18-foot short wall gives me that extra two feet of living space behind the horse area which I use for storing hay nets and blankets. My four horses travel together regularly for shows and this trailer handles all of them with room to spare. The flooring is sturdy and the chest bar locks securely on every horse. I will say the delivery took about ten days instead of the promised seven, but once it arrived it was exactly as described. The short wall design has honestly changed how I haul. No more low ceilings freaking out my draft crosses. If you need a dependable four-horse trailer, stop looking and go with this one.

I want to be fair in this review because the trailer itself is functional and the price was right. The Lakota Bighorn 8418GLQUG arrived on time and the exterior looks good. However, when I inspected the interior I found a couple of things that bothered me. One of the divider panels had a slight wobble and I had to shim it myself before I felt comfortable loading horses. The lighting inside is dim and the latches on the feed door stick if you don’t oil them regularly. The 18-foot short wall is actually fine for my horses but I wish the manufacturer had added a few more tie rings along the walls. Customer support was helpful when I called about the panel issue and they walked me through adjusting it. It’s not a bad trailer for the money but I expected a little more polish from a 2021 model. I’ll probably upgrade certain features over time but for now it gets the job done.

Six months in and I have nothing but good things to say about this trailer. I bought the 2021 Lakota Bighorn 8418GLQUG as a replacement for my old two-horse and I cannot believe how much easier my life is now. Four horses, one trip, done. The short wall design means I don’t have to duck every time I walk through, which sounds silly but after hauling for twenty years you appreciate it. The suspension rides smooth and my horses stay calm on the road. I’ve taken it through rain, heat, and a few mountain passes and it handles it all. The rubber mats they included are thick and actually stay in place. My only wish is that it came with a front breast collar option but I added one myself for thirty bucks. Delivery was fast, the team was friendly, and the trailer was exactly what I ordered. If you’re on the fence, just pull the trigger. You won’t regret it.

Let me start by saying I’m picky about trailers. I’ve owned three different brands over the past fifteen years and the Lakota Bighorn impressed me more than I expected. The build quality is solid, the welds are clean, and the finish on the exterior paint is consistent. The 18-foot short wall length is great because I can fit it in my barn aisle without having to back way out. I hauled four horses from Kentucky to Texas last month and it performed flawlessly. Tires are decent but I swapped them out for a set of radials before my first long trip. The spare tire holder is positioned in an odd spot though, makes it a little awkward to change on the roadside. Interior partitions are adjustable which is a huge plus for my mixed-size horses. I docked one star only because of the tire holder placement and the fact that the rear tack area feels a tad cramped for larger tack boxes. Still, this is a great trailer for the price.
