4. 🚚 Delivery, Site Requirements & Risk of Loss

Delivery Coordination

  • Delivery timelines provided at checkout are estimates only and not guarantees. Factors including weather, carrier capacity, port congestion, or customs delays may affect schedules.
  • You agree to be available for delivery coordination calls 48–72 hours prior to arrival.

Site Preparation Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring the delivery location is:
  • ✅ Level, compacted, and capable of supporting 4,000–9,000 lbs per wheel point
  • ✅ Clear of overhead obstructions (wires, trees, structures) with minimum 14 ft vertical clearance
  • ✅ Accessible for a 40–53 ft tilt-bed trailer or sideloader (minimum 12 ft width, no sharp turns)
  • ✅ Compliant with local permit requirements for oversized loads

Failure to prepare the site may result in delivery refusal, rescheduling fees, or storage charges billed to your account.

Transfer of Risk

  • Domestic Shipments: Risk of loss or damage transfers to you upon signed delivery receipt (Proof of Delivery).
  • International Shipments: Risk transfers per the agreed Incoterm (typically FOB Port of Loading or DAP Destination).
  • Inspect containers thoroughly before signing. Note any discrepancies on the POD—signing a clean receipt may limit claim eligibility.
